Classic UK Rock
This trip can be tailor made as an attempt to visit various areas.
•What: ‘Classic Rock’ has become a ‘Classic’ UK tick list for all climbers! This trip can be tailor made as an attempt to various areas of the UK on a ‘Rock Safari’ to experience some of the best ‘easy(ish)’ Traditional Rock Climbing the UK has to offer! CONTACT US if you are a group of 2-4 who are interested in this adventure.
•Where: UK – from Cornwall/Devon in the South, through to Scotland in the North (Including Wales, the Lake District and the Peak District).
•Season:
Summer.
•How long: Bespoke.
Morocco – 4000m Peaks
•What: Mount Toubkal is a great first trip to take you over 4000m. Regardless of the season you opt for, it gives the full mountain experience of a nice approach through foothills to a basic mountain refuge from where various 4000m peaks can be ascended – of course including Toubkal, the tallest mountain in North Africa! This is essentially a non-technical trek which take you through traditional Berber villages to provide you with good acclimatisation before being rewarded with a trip to the summit of Toubkal the highest peak in North Africa. Clearly, no such trip would be complete without a short trip to the amazing Medina of Marrakesh!
•Season: Can be undertaken both summer and winter.
•How long: 7-8 days.
Tromso Topptur
•What: There is something incredibly special about starting your Topptur with the sound of the ocean, the amazing colours of an aqua blue sea before summiting on your skis and enjoying your turns downhill on often fresh, untouched snow – surely the holy grail for all ski tourers! Tromso is fast becoming a mecca for ski touring, yet despite this, it is quite easy to escape the crowds due to the huge variety of different tours available from the City of the Midnight sun.
•Season: Feb-May
•How long: 6-7 days.
Hardangervida Traverse
•What: The Hardangervidda is a mountain plateau in central southern Norway, covering parts of Vestland, Vestfold og Telemark, and Viken counties. It is the largest plateau of its kind in Europe, with a cold year-round alpine climate, and home to one of Norway's largest glaciers. Indeed, it is here that Amundsen ‘cut his teeth’ before his South Pole conquest. There are many solutions to a traverse of the Plateau today, both self-supported and using Den Norske Turistforening. This ski tour is for those of you with some previous experience on skis. It is mostly a bespoke trip and therefore the group will decide on the use of skis or snowshoes, huts or tents and of course a North-South or West-East Traverse!

•How long: 7-9 days.
Heroes of Telemark
•What: The Heroes of Telemark is a world-famous sabotage operations organised by the British SOE (Special Operations Executive) that took part in Nazi occupied Norway during WWII. Together, and in partnership with Destination Setesdal, an Adventure Company based in Southern Norway, Sweden Outdoors Coaching will take you on an unforgettable Nordic ski tour over the Hardanger Vidda Mountain range reenacting this famous Operation to save the world from Nazi tyranny. Our partner, Destination Setesdal’s Managing Director Brian Desmond, Brian was a personal friend to many of the Heavy Water Saboteurs working with them on the acclaimed BBC TV production documentary of The Real Heroes of Telemark and Battlefield tours to Norway. Brian has a wealth of knowledge and many intimate stories from the Saboteurs and of the various Operations associated with the German occupation of Norway during WWII. Our expedition is an amazing blend of a Nordic ski tour and a realistic re-enactment of one of the most daring audacious sabotage operations during the Second World War.
